Good writers always need to check and evaluate their work. They edit and revise their writing often. Carefully examine what you have written. How many of these questions can you answer with a "Yes"?  

Did I write on the topic?

 Did I STAY ON THE TOPIC I was told to write about?

 Did I use DETAILS?

Did I include EXAMPLES OR IDEAS for my details?

Did I ORGANIZE my writing?

Did I write so my ideas are CLEAR to other people?

Did I CHOOSE MY WORDS CAREFULLY to express what I want to say?

Did I use COMPLETE SENTENCES?

Did I use CORRECT SPELLING, GRAMMAR, CAPITALIZATION, and PUNCTUATION?
